According to Billboard.com, Travis McCoy will be embarking on his Too Fast For Love tour this, Wednesday, April 28, in Milwaukee at the Rave. The tour is support of his solo project Lazarus. He will be joined by labelmate Cobra Starship as well as electronic rock duo 3oh3!
Gym Class Heroes fans need not worry, this solo project is not the demise of GCH. In fact McCoy reported that they are “12 demos deep” into their next album which is planned to be released in 2011 and is currently entitled PCC II for The Papercut Chronicles II, a sequel to the 2005 sophomore release.
The new album will be a bit different from what GCH fans are used to hearing. McCoy says Lazarus is dominated by hip-hop flavors “but at the same time my love for live instrumentation is still reflected on the record.” Lazarus is due out June 8.
