Rocking Under The Radar: Exit She Calls

This week’s unsigned artist is Exit She Calls. The band started off in 2004 as an acoustic side project of Kristia Moya while she was playing in and out of bands around New Jersey. While the acoustic songs were fun, she was searching for something more fulfilling. It wasn’t until the summer of 2008 that ESC became something more. With the addition of Ryan Bertone (drums), Jeff Lambert (guitar) and Carlos Rivero (bass) they were well on their way to becoming a full band.

The band played their first full band show last in January and gone on to play a large handfull of shows throughout New Jersey and New York, including this past summer’s The Warped Tour in Camden, NJ and a spot opening for Forever The Sickest Kids at Six Flags Great Adventure.

In the short span of time ESC has been a band, they have definately have accomplished a lot. The have a cool, egdgy and exciting sound led by the vocals of Kristia Moya. Their has a gritty stripped down vibe with pop rock overtones that are divine. Check them out on Myspace and download their 2009 demo here!
