Parachute Tour with Kelly Clarkson Kicks Off on 10/6

After rocketing to #1 on the iTunes Overall Album chart and #1 on Amazon.com with their debut album ‘Losing Sleep’, featuring the top 15 Hot AC hit “She Is Love”, Mercury Records group Parachute will release their long-awaited second single when “Under Control” impacts at Hot AC on September 28th.”Under Control”  is shaping up as one of the biggest-ever Single Of The Week releases ever to emerge from an iTunes #1 album debut. And for the first time ever, the official iTunes Facebook fan page will stream the entire video premiere for “Under Control” today, October 2nd.

Meanwhile, the Virginia-based band performed live on FOX’s Good Day New York this week, in advance of their New York City date at the Gramercy Theatre. Parachute is in the final two weeks of its month-long 23-city tour of North America with Secondhand Serenade, wrapping up Oct. 4th at The Cabooze in Minneapolis. An even bigger 28-city tour will follow with two-time Grammy winning mega-platinum artist Kelly Clarkson, opening Oct. 6th at Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City, and concluding Dec. 13th at Hard Rock Live-Seminole in Hollywood, Florida. To build upon the early success of ‘Losing Sleep’, iTunes released a special deluxe version adding the “She Is Love” video, rare B-sides, acoustic versions, and live tracks. The album was originally released digitally on May 12th (one week prior to its release in the physical marketplace) and immediately took over the top spot at iTunes. The album built on the success of “She Is Love”, now in its 8th week in the Top 15 at Hot AC. The video continues its 20-week run at VH1. Parachute performed on several shows including Jimmy Kimmel Live, CBS Early Show and Good Day New York among others.
