Drive Thru Records' Socratic Headlines Stone Pony Concert to Benefit Local Homeless

Passionworks Inc. of Brick, NJ will be hosting the Starvation Eradication Festival at The Stone Pony next Wednesday, August 5, 2009.

Starvation Eradication will raise money, create awareness and collect food for local homeless in the Monmouth/ Ocean County area. The event will feature guests speakers, prizes, and musical performances.

The event will be headlined by Drive Thru Records’ Socratic, natives of Cranford and Linden NJ.  There will also be performances by NJ bands Bears and Bright Lights, Throw the Heat, Down by 9 and Last Days of Empire.

Starvation Eradication will also serve as a food drive. Guests will be awarded one prize ticket for each can of food they donate.  Tickets will be used for a chance to win prizes which have been donated from various local and national businesses. Some prizes include a custom snare drum, t-shirts and gift certificates to local businesses.

The event is all ages and costs $12. Tickets are available at the door and also at www.starvationeradication.com.
