Lost In A Name is a poppy, powerhouse rock indie band from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. It’s current members are Danny Schmitz (guitar/vocals), Jeffro Lackscheide (guitar), and Bryce Schmidtke (bass/vocals).
Taking influences from bands like Thrice, Yellowcard, Dave Matthews Band, and All-American Rejects they have crafted a sound I like to call mellopock. Their debut album Remember Where We Started takes mellow guitar riffs and shakes them up with faced paced beats and hard rock bridges. It’s a mix of sentimental love songs with a hard edge.
My favorites on the album are: the hard hitting “Crutch” and “What Comes After;” the fast paced poppy “Someone;” the mellow while guitar riff heavy “To The Others,” and the punk rockin’ “Wishing for A Memory”
The band is currently looking for a drummer, so if you play and live in the area hit the guys up on their MySpace page.
