Rocking Under The Radar: The Talk About

The NJ based quintet, The Talk About is comprised of members: Johnny Stokes (vocals), Dylan Scott (guitar/vocals), Rich Dieckhoff (drums), and Mike Kozma (guitar).

I caught the band’s performance at Crash Mansion’s Spring Fling Showcase last Saturday. The first thing that caught my eye about the band was their cool, sparkly drum set. Then they started playing and I was totally hooked. Their pairing of moderate rock tempos with intense basslines creates an awesomely catchy and fun sound. The lead vocalist, Johnny Stokes is definately a star in the making. With his swagger across the stage and sweet sound of love sick lyrics, Stokes effortlessly commands the audience to pay him attention.

The band’s EP HEY! Revolution is a 4 track compilation of rock, big beat, and soul influences that you will want to play over and over again. If you’re a fan of Fall Out Boy you will definitely like this band.
