Last Friday at Angels & Kings, I saw an acoustic performance by the New England band, The Bay State. The three-fourths of the band who played had great chemistry that radiated onto the audience showing their enthusiasm to perform. The combination of heartfelt, yet playful lyrics and upbeat tempos made the acoustic performance seem fast-paced and awesomely exciting. With the first song, I was instantly mesmerized by the amazing vocals of the lead singer, Tom Tash. I was blown away by their performance and can only imagine how good they sound with a full band setup.
To date the band has released two singles and two EP’s; the first a self-titled debut that came out in 2007 and the six-track Let’s Turn This City On that came out in October 2008.
