After taking a monster bite out of Alternative radio across the country, Neon Trees’ “Animal,” the first single from their Mercury Records debut Habits (out March 16th), hit #1 on the Alternative Specialty Chart, with top-tier airplay reports pouring in from alternative rock stations in Los Angeles, New York City, San Francisco, Detroit, Salt Lake City, San Diego, Kansas City, Columbus, Milwaukee and Portland, to name a few.
Neon Trees shot a new “Animal” video this month, a homage to the museum scene in Tim Burton’s Batman. Check out the version that started it all here!
The original “Animal” clip shows off Neon Trees’ affinity for western plains friends and label mates the Killers, who pulled Neon Trees out of obscurity in Provo, Utah, and exposed them to tens of thousands of new fans when they took them on the road in late ’08.
