Today’s song is “Catching Fire Featuring Nothing, Nowhere” by Sum 41. All this ’90s and ’00s nostalgia has gotten me wanting to listen to my favorite bands.
Wanting to see if there was any new music I came across this track from 2021 and was instantly hooked.
While the band can rock hard they also prove they can write a nice slower rock jam. I’m really digging this track. It’s a slow rock ballad that features some high percussion and a catchy chorus that you will be humming in no time.
Did you know it’s also the 21st anniversary of the “FAT LIP” music video? I remember I got a VHS of this video when I bought their album All Kille No Filler from the defunct Vintage Vinyl. Man am I dating myself lol.
If you want to get out and see the band live you can catch them on The Blame Canada Tour with Simple Plan. It kicks off today, April 29th in Raleigh, North Carolina.
NJ fans will be stoked to know they can see Sum 41 and Simple Plan along ocean waves at the first concert of the season at Stone Pony Summer Stage in Asbury Park on Saturday, May 7th.
