NC17 is a female-fronted four-piece punk rock band from Richmond, VA. They invite us to sing along on their track “Party’s Over.” This is the second single off their debut EP, Nasty Habits, set to release on January 21, 2022.
The track is a rip-roaring good time with its anthemic melodies and just wanna have fun mentality. The song is all about making friends when your life is a party, but seeing who sticks around when the party’s over.
NC17 challenged themselves while writing this song, but what has resulted is a quite captivating tune showcasing vocalist Yani’s musical talents. About the song guitarist, Derek says,
“We wrote and rewrote and rewrote this song, but I think it paid off. Yani’s ability to sing the same chorus over different instrumentation blew me away on this one. I think this is an all around good anthemic song that represents us well, and can still be a bit of a challenging one in a good way.”
