Today’s song is “Livin In Hope” by The Bangs.

Back around 2010, The Bangs went into the studio to record a demo, luckily somebody left the tape running.

Re-discovered and re-mastered over a decade later by Nub Records’ Mark Lee their debut album The Last Of The Big Shots is available to download on 3rd April.

From debut single ‘Livin’ In Hope’ to last track ‘Our Sun Has Set’, here are nine tales of urban life, nine tales about drinking and womanizing and love and loss.

The band split up after a handful of gigs and line-up changes and then in 2017, after years in the musical wilderness, songwriter and guitarist Paul Jones suffered a massive, life-threatening double stroke. That led to three months of hospital treatment and then many more months of painstaking rehab from which he is now remarkably almost fully recovered!

The track has an edgy raw and infiltrating sound that will make you want to play over and over.
