Last night I was scrolling through Twitter and saw The Front Bottoms released a new track of their upcoming album Ann, the second installment of the Grandma album series.
For those of you not familiar with the Grandma series, they are albums named after the band member’s grandma’s. The first album Rose came out back in 2014 as a tribute to drummer Mat Uychich’s grandmother who had had died while they were on tour. The album featured remastered tracks that Rose was fond of.
Ann is the lead vocalist Brian Sella’s grandmother. The album features 5 classic tracks and this new song “Tye Dye Dragon.”
The video is features Brian Sella’s head on a table being massaged by a woman’s hands (at least I think it is a woman) in a mask that is reminiscent of the nemesis “A” on Pretty Little Liars. Watching it made me laugh and the song is pretty rad too.
The album will be out May 18 on Fueled By Ramen. For more information on the band check out their official website, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter pages.
