Today’s song is “Be Yourself In Time” by Dimestore Prophets. Dimestore Prophets or DSP for short, hail from Moses Lake, Washington and consist of Ray Glover (vocals/guitar), John Wilson (drums), and Eric Groff (bass). Dimestore Prophets came together as band in 2009 after studio collaboration together. DSP have a great diversity of musical influences and because of this each player brings a unique approach to their musical role in the band. Influences range from Bob Marley to Sublime, the Clash to the Dirty Heads.

DSP has been bringing a style dubbed “Feel Good Music” to the Pacific Northwest since the end of 2009, playing over 200 shows since then. The band has shared the stage with The Verve Pipe and Indubious as well as played NW Homegrown Reggae Festival, Fall Fest at Schweitzer Mt., Pig Out in the Park Spokane, and Inland Northwest Craft Brew Festival.

This is the title track off the band’s album out now. Their music brings the best of groove and reggae, along with infectious acoustic pop and rock rhythms. This song encapsulates melodies that exude feel good vibes of sunshine and summer with each chord. Fans of Jack Johnson, Pepper, Iration, Dirty Heads and 3 Legged Fox will be sure to love their sound. They are currently touring throughout the Fall in support of their latest release.
