Dax Riggs: ‘Say Goodnight To The World’ In Stores Now

Dax Riggs sophomore album Say Goodnight To The World is in stores now via Fat Possum.

The second album released by former deadboy & The Elephantmen and Acid Bath frontman Riggs under his own name, Say Goodnight To The World has been catching the attention of the press, with Spin describing it as “plop[ping] Sun Studios into the middle of Transylvania, with Riggs as a pensive, late-night Elvis” and The A.V. Club writing, “…the sound bounces between spacious, spooky, and glam….Riggs’ cocky voice and fuzzy guitar repping a man who’s dancing to his doom, and isn’t the least bit anxious about it.”

This week RCRD LBL premiered Say Goodnight To The World track “Let Me Be Your Cigarette” as its ‘RCRD LBL/MySpace RCRD Of The Day.’  The song is also currently available via the site’s homepage here.  Last week, MetalUnderground.com premiered the album’s title track, which can also now be downloaded hereSpin.com premiered the first MP3 off Say Goodnight To The World, “No One Will Be A Stranger,” in late June (download here).

Riggs kicked off a national headlining tour Friday night at Lochrann’s in Frisco, TX. This first leg – which includes a CD release show in his current hometown of Austin, TX, on Thursday at The Mohawk – will continue through a August 21stRiggs will head back out on the road, beginning September 8th at the Casbah in San Diego, CA, and wrapping up September 25th at the Thirsty Hippo in Hattiesburg, MS. gig at The Old Rock House in St. Louis, MO.  After a two and a half week rest,
