While there are a lot of pop rock groups out there, there is something about Poughkeepsie band, The Best Week Ever that makes them stand out from the crowd. Composed of Lacey Steinel (vocals), Tom DeGrazia (vocals/guitar/programming), James Rousseau (piano/programming), and Dan Clap (bass)the quartet has a sound that is charmingly irresistible.
While the quartet is fairly new to the scene, their talent is quickly being noticed. Recently, the band was named a winner of the Our Stage Bon Jovi Superband contest and are scheduled to open for the Platinum selling group May 27th at the new Meadowlands Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ.
I was introduced to this band by a friend who had come across them on the contest web page. Fueled by infectious hooks and choruses, their music is an energetic burst of excitement. Poppin’ piano and synth melodies paired with the dueting vocals of Steinel and DeGrazi creates supercharged love pop that you will be singing along to in no time.
The band is currently writing their debut EP and gearing up for their upcoming summer tour. Get their single’s “Suitcases” and “I’m Not One For Complaining, But..” on now. For tour dates, music, and more check out www.thebestweekever.com
