The Frontier Brothers "You Should Start a Band"

The Frontier Brothers have had an incredible February, playing a sold out show at the Webster Hall studio in NYC, and wrapping up the recording of a new EP, You Should Start A Band. The video for the title track finds a posse of drunk and inconsiderate bears partying their way to a Frontier Brothers underground concert. Do you like bears? Then see HERE. And now, with South by Southwest upon us, The Frontier Brothers are rocking Austin all week.

Though the Austin-based quartet remains holed up putting the finishing touches on their next studio release, their new single is already getting attention. After the group debuted “You Should Start A Band” at their CMJ showcase in New York, legendary DJ Matt Pinfield immediately picked up the party-punk anthem to feature on the NYC rock station 101.9 RXP.

Of course, The Frontier Brothers are no strangers to attention. The dynamic rockers have been critical favorites since the release of their sharply crafted cinematic debut, Space Punk Starlet in 2008. Writing for Paste Magazine, Andy Whitman listed the album among his favorites for 2008. Spin Magazine tuned in as well, featuring the band in the June, 2008 South by Southwest feature, “Bands on the Run.”
