Emerging onto the scene in late 2007, pop band For the foxes has provided the soundtrack to every teenage girl’s beating heart. With the release of their first e.p in 2008 titled Six Ways To Love, the band has received airplay on various MTV series. Along with placement in MTV’s Real World, the band’s song “We can’t stop” was paired up with a T Mobile Sidekick commercial promoting MTV’s challenge The Island.
After touring regionally for a year off of the success of their first e.p, the band took some time in writing new material. For the foxes is Nick Dungo (singer, keyboards, songwriter), Jimmy Brindley (guitar), Danny Vassallo (drums), Bj Smith (bass), and Dan Lowenberg (guitar). After months of crafting new material, the band earned the opportunity to record and produce these new songs with legendary producer Jim Wirt. Jim has done some of the bands favorite records including artists such as Jack’s Mannequin, No Doubt, Incubus, The Rocket Summer etc. The band then traveled to sunny Santa Monica, California where the spent the long month of August 2009 recording three brand new songs. These three songs have now been released as a self titled e.p in November 2009. Their most recent single “O.M.G” has been featured in the season premier of hit t.v show Keeping up with the Kardashians ,racking in over 4 million viewers. For the Foxes plans to hit the road for the next few years winning over fans, and doing what they love the most, playing music.
