Not Into Teenage Vampire Love Stories? At Least Check Out The Soundtrack.

Like teenage vampire love stories? I do in fact I may be a bit obsessed with vampires, but lets save that for another post 😉 Even if you don’t care about the highly anticipated Twilight Saga “New Moon” film, you should care about the soundtrack.

The official Twilight Saga: New Moon Soundtrack, originally was to be released yesterday (10/20), was actually released early on Friday (10/16).  This gave me plenty of time to download my pre-order from iTunes and listen to the 19 tracks on this awesome album.

The New Moon soundtrack is a must have for independent music lovers, with artists such as Death Cab For Cutie, Thom Yorke, Lykke Li and Grizzly Bear it’s being called the “indie album of the year”.  It also features tracks from two of my favorite bands The Killers, and Muse.

This is not an album you would rock out to.  I would describe it as mellow, chill, eerie, and a bit moody,  could be a great mix for a Halloween party.

My Picks for Top Tracks:

Thom Yorke – “Hearing Damage”
Bon Iver & St. Vincent – “Rosyln”
The Killers – “A White Demon Love Song”
Muse – “I Belong To You”
Hurricane Bells – “Monsters”

Available now on iTunes Muse - The Twilight Saga: New Moon (Deluxe Version) [Original Motion Picture Soundtrack] and Amazon.com
