FILTER Magazine Launches Digital Publication FILTER Unbound

Issue 36 Mos Def The Artistry And The Ecstasy - Available 7/15/09
FILTER Magazine is launching a digital publication called FILTER UNBOUND.

Along with the regular FILTER magazine content, the online edition will include bonus outtakes and never-before-seen footage from artist interviews; single-artist focus comprising of comprehensive stories, band histories and complete discographies—including commentary from the artists themselves—and completely interactive, clickable content with links to photos, band websites, videos, audio interview clips and much more.

“We have singled out what we do best in our print publications, and found a way to bring outstanding art direction, photography and storytelling to a new format,” said Alan Miller, co-publisher and co-founder of FILTER magazine and FILTER Creative Group.

FILTER UNBOUND has a greatly-expanded distribution via an exclusive partnership with the world’s largest musical instrument retailer Guitar Center, the premium seller and distributor of musical instruments and gear. This distribution partnership will enable FILTER UNBOUND to reach over 12-million new users in addition to the thousands who already read and enjoy FILTER magazine and FILTERmagazine.com.

The first issue of FILTER UNBOUND will be available on www.FILTERmagazine.com beginning August 17th and feature an exclusive retrospective on Depeche Mode, containing a complete discography with commentary from the band and producers, an in-depth conversation between Depeche Mode and Röyksopp, audio and video bonus features and much, much more.

The issue will be supported solely by VTech’s new Wi-Fi Internet Radio player.  Additional issues will be available monthly, and feature Sonic Youth, Slayer, The Dead Weather, Morrissey and others.
