Grammy Award winning rapper, Lil’ Wayne will be heading to court on April 20, for an arrest on gun charges after his concert at Broadway’s Beacon Theatre July 2007.A police officer found a 9-mm handgun in Wayne’s Louis Vuitton bag aboard his tour bus. The officer was prompted to board after they smelled pot wafting off the bus.
A Manhattan judge shot down defense lawyer Stacey Richman’s clam the cop lied about smelling marijuana wafting out of the Grammy Winner’s tour bus and used it as an excuse to board.
Carter faces felony weapons charges and up to 15 years in prison if convicted.
