Katy Perry and Travis McCoy of Gym Class Heroes have called it quits after a year of dating, a source close to Perry confirmed to USmagazine.com Friday.
“It’s sad, but they were fighting a lot because they never saw each other and now she is going on tour,” the source told Us. “She just needed a clear head. It’s been non-stop work for her.”
Travis McCoy posted the lyrics to Main Source’s tune “Looking at the Front Door” on his blog about the breakup, which was first reported by Celebuzz.
“We fight every night, now that’s not kosher. I reminisce with bliss of when we was closer. And wake up to be greeted by an argument again, You act like you’re 10…My friends always tell me how I’m lucky to possess the best looking girl in the whole U.S….it seems like just two years back when we were bonded and not pierced, but now I keep itchin’ to jet,” he wrote.
This breakup is kind of sad, but not too surprising. When interviewed by US back in December, Perry said that they were both busy and she was not ready to plan a wedding yet. They must have just grown apart.
