Runner Runner Streaming Debut Album on Myspace Now!

Gearing up for the release of their self-titled debut album this coming Tuesday, February 15th, Runner Runner is giving fans a first listen by premiering their long awaited music in its entirety on Myspace! Make sure to check out MySpace now to get your first listen of this great new record.

Runner Runner will join The Pretty Reckless, fronted by Taylor Momsen, on tour starting February 11th running through the middle of March and then immediately jump on tour with A Rocket To The Moon which runs through the end of April. Runner Runner Release “Hey Alli” Acoustic Video

Runner Runner has released a video for the acoustic version of their current single, ““Hey Alli”” from their upcoming self-titled debut album which will be released on Feb. 15th, 2011. Check out the performance of the entire band performing in a very intimate setting.

Fans who pre-order a copy of the album on the band’s web store will receive a free acoustic EP at the time of their order. All pre-order packages are available on the bands Official Site and all orders are automatically entered to win a personalized copy of “Hey Alli” as an MP3 as well as a video message.

RUNNER RUNNER OFFER ” GIGAPAN SCAVENGER HUNT” FOR FANS

Pop rockers RUNNER RUNNER are back with a fun new scavenger hunt for their fans. The Gigapan App, which can be found on their Facebook page, gives fans the chance to navigate Houston and help Ryan, Jon, James, Peter, and Nick find their stuff in the city.

The band have joined Forever The Sickest Kids and I See Stars on a 10-stop tour which kicked off November 12 in Texas and running through the end of the month. Check out the their MySpace and official website for more info on the tour as well as exclusive updates. Runner Runner Comes Up Aces

Runner Runner’s self-titled album may be their first, but it definitely doesn’t sound like it, and will most certainly not be their last. Based out of California the five member group largely comes by way of the east coast, with three members haling from Virginia roots, and a fourth from the Garden State. Only the group’s bassist, Jon Berry can claim to be a California native.

Despite honing their musical talents in varied locations Runner Runner produces a cohesive punk-pop sound that rivals some of the top acts in the genre. There is no doubt that as Runner Runner continues to garner attention, the number of teenage girls swooning over their love songs will increase tenfold.

While band’s musical abilities cannot, and should not be challenged, their lyrical range is a little narrow. Most songs seem to take one of two paths; either the character in the song has found the perfect girl (ie: “She’s My Kinda Girl”) or is frustrated about breaking up with a girl (ie: “Life After You”). Not to say that any of the songs are poorly sung or instrumented, just that when listening to the album in its entirety the songs can begin to run together. The one track that is a stand out on the album is also its last, “Running Away” is a slower paced songs that steers away from the albums go to topics and is a welcomed reprieve.

In the end Runner Runner has produced a quality album that deserves every radio play it gets, but still leaves a listener hoping that their next showing displays some needed lyrical growth.

Runner Runner recently stopped by the Last.fm studios to talk about their first single, “So Obvious,” off their upcoming self-titled debut album. Watch as the band explains what “So Obvious” is about and see the guys acoustic performance of the song on this week’s Summer Sessions.

Runner Runner is preparing a US Tour with Secondhand Serenade starting July 17th in Lehi, UT through September 4th. UStream.tv will be streaming their first live performance on the tour, so make sure to tune in to the band’s Facebook page, this Saturday, July 17th, at 6:00 pm PST.
