Song of the Day: “Pick Your Poison” by The Greater The Risk

Today’s song is “Pick Your Poison” by The Greater Risk. The Richmond, VA quintet consists of Dan Castillo (vocals), Ashley Drewes (guitar), Blake Gillespie (guitar/vocals), Nathan Wilson (bass), Derek Ames (drums). This song is off the band’s current EP, Say What Your Never Said which will be released October 25th. The guys came together just less than a year ago and already are making a name for themselves by earning the title of Unsigned Artist of the Month by Alternative Press this past January and peaking at #2 on the Purevolume charts. This fall the band will hit the road In support of the upcoming release. With the first listen of this single, I was instantly in love with their sound. I’m a sucker for their pop rock riffs. If this is a taste of what you can expect from their debut, I am hooked! The Greater Risk is sure to catch the ears of fans of bands like Jimmy Eat World, Boys Like Girls, Cartel, and Anberlin.
