AFI To Tour with Green Day

In a double bill that is sure to set any punk rocker’s heart aflame, AFI and Green Day have announced they will hit the road together for a late summer tour beginning August 3rd. The tour will mark another piece of joint history for the two iconic bands who both got their starts in the Nor Cal scene. While both bands have come a long way from their Gilman days the tour will give fans the chance to experience an epic night of music rooted in the East Bay!

AFI has been touring tirelessly in support of their recent release, Crash Love, and will also be headlining Bamboozle Left this coming Saturday, March 27th, in Anaheim, California. AFI Behind The Scenes of "Beautiful Thieves"

Whenever AFI unveils a video fans immediately react with questions on the video’s meaning — from hidden messages to overall themes. The premiere of the “Beautiful Thieves” was no different, and to sate fans the band has released a behind the scenes look at the video. In the six minute piece each member of AFI shares insight on the song itself, the meaning of the video, or what it’s like on the set of a video shoot. In describing the overall video lead vocalist Davey remarks, “[It] shows people actually being forced to be responsible for their actions. We implement that retribution, if you will.” Fans can now watch the entire behind the scenes piece below:

AFI Premiere "Beautiful Thieves" Video

AFI will premiere its new video for “Beautiful Thieves,” the new single from its acclaimed Crash Love album, across all MTV channels today.

Immediately following the premiere, AFI fans will be invited to submit questions about the video, the song, Crash Love and/or anything AFI-related via Facebook at http://facebook.com/afireinside

AFI will answer selected questions during a live video chat taking place on 4:00 p.m. PST February 11. Fans can tune in then on Facebook to see if their questions are answered, while at the same time chatting live with members of AFI and fellow fans.

The February 11 event, hosted by livestream.com, will also feature the world premiere of a “making of ‘”Beautiful Thieves’,”” a look at what went into making the newest AFI video featuring never seen before behind the scenes performance and interview footage.

Iconic Bay Area rockers AFI have revealed a preview clip of the video for “Beautiful Thieves” on their website. The minute clip launched after another successful twitter campaign which asked fans to donate a single tweet to reach the 1,000 tweet goal to reveal the short teaser. No strangers to innovative twitter promotions, the band was also behind a popular promotion which saw the title of each track off their new album, Crash Love, and other goodies unveiled through fan participation.

The full length video for “Beautiful Thieves,” which features Davey, Jade, Hunter and Adam dapperly dressed, will make its premiere soon. Crash Love, featuring “Medicate” and “Beautiful Thieves” is in stores and on AFInow!

Go Behind The Scenes with AFI

Join Davey, Jade, Adam and Hunter, collectively known as AFI, as they take you behind the scenes of their video for “Medicate” in this newly released making of video clip. Full of performance, gold blood, humor, voyeurism, and pie filling this short video allows fans a chance to catch the rock quartet at their best, and at times most vulnerable while laid out on the soundstage floor. AFI Announce New Tour Dates, Reveal "Torch Song" Demo

On the heels of the release of their new album, Crash Love, rockers AFI have announced a new string of tour dates, taking them throughout the West in January. Fans who have checked out the band’s East Coast dates have been treated night after night with a mix of old and new songs spanning AFI’s massive eight album catalog. Included as a staple each night is Crash Love and live-set opener “Torch Song,” which AFI recently released an exclusive demo of via Google’s La La music platform.

Also new from AFI will be a release of a 5 song pack on Rock Band which will be available 11/17. The downloadable addition to the game will include “Love Like Winter,” “The Leaving Song Pt. II,” and Crash Love favorites “Beautiful Thieves,” “End Transmission” and “Medicate.”

AFI Release Live Performance Clip from Ulalume Festival

AFI have just released a video performance from this Weekend’s Ulalume Festival in Columbia, Maryland. The clip can be seen on Mtvu.com. The video showcases an energetic performance of “Beautiful Thieves” to thousands of adoring fans. “Beautiful Thieves” is a new track off of the critically acclaimed album Crash Love, which is available everywhere now.

MTV has also posted an exclusive set of recent photos of the band that feature Davey Havok and co looking their sharpest.

The Ulalume Festival was an all day Halloween themed festival that saw Paramore co-headline with AFI. Other artists that performed were Dead By Sunrise and Kid Cudi.

AFI To Co-Headline MTV'S Ulalume Festival with Paramore, Kid Cudi & Death By Sunrise

AFI have announced that they will co-headline mtvU’s innagural Ulalume Festival on Friday, October 23rd at Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, Maryland. Davey, Jade, Adam and Hunter, collectively known as AFI, will join co-headliners Paramore along with special guests Kid Cudi and Chester Benninton’s side band, Death By Sunrise. The show, which takes its name from the Edgar Allen Poe poem of the same name, will be sure to celebrate all things spooky and this year’s Halloween. Under a gray autumn sky with withering leaves, the festival grounds will transform into a ghoul haunted woodland featuring a costume contest and more tricks set to unfold throughout the night. Performances straight from “Ulalume” will air during a Halloween-themed week on MTV, MTV.com, mtvU, and mtvU.com, with more details to be announced.
