Today’s song is “Today” by Dutch hip-hop artist Skiggy Rapz featuring. This single was featured in episode 202 “The Hangover” of MTV’s Jersey Shore. His other song “Bang To The Boogie” was featured on last week’s Jersey Shore episode 205 “The Letter.” The track from the Bang To The Boogie EP plays in episode 205, and will be tagged on screen. The Season 2 premiere of Jersey Shore became MTV’s highest rated season premiere, pulling in 5.3 million viewers, bumping off 2002′s The Osbournes.
Skiggy Rapz’s music has also been featured on MTV shows Rob Dyrdek’s Fantasy Factory and Taking The Stage, plus several Fuel TV shows in early 2010. Skiggy has appeared in front of the camera on the Dutch show Raymann Is Late. He was awarded the prestigious Grote Prijs van Nederland (Grand Prize of the Netherlands), a national award for emerging artists, and he appeared at the 2009 SXSW Music Festival in Austin, Texas. Skiggy’s release appears on the Austin, Texas-based label Beats Broke. He is currently recording his full-length follow-up to Bang To The Boogie.
